Easter Dress

I have been wanting to post these pictures for a while and here we go. For the past two years I have sewn my little girl's Easter dress. I love the idea that when she looks back at pictures she will see the handmade love that I put into them. I drafted both patterns myself and each dress taught me a lot about fit and pattern making.
So this was last years sweet Easter dress. It was so fun to make and I think it turned out pretty cute. Like I said I didn't not use a pattern though, so it was a tricky process. I used a t-shirt that fit and went from there. It is made out of seersucker and satin. It was so cute and playful on my little bald baby!
Now, this year I decided to go pink incase she gets too much of an opinion in the years to come and hates pink. I highly doubt it, but you never know. I will be taking better pictures***fingers crossed*** and making up a tutorial later this week......yeah for things to come!

Have a great day!

Rosalie Ruffle Top Pattern Review

So last week I had the opportunity to test a pattern from the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop. Amy over there who designs every thing is truly a pattern genius! When I saw this pattern I was freaking out and only disappointed it didn't come in my size. It's adorable!!

I used a lightweight knit for the shirt and was almost to scared to start. I have sewn with knits before but not a thin lightweight one like this. It ended up being fairly easy to use. The ruffles turned out so cute with this fabric. The pattern was easy to follow and could be personalized in so many ways. I whipped it up in one night. I was truly surprised how quickly it came together.
Well folks, that's my little review. I hope you head over to their pattern shop and check it out. By the way my little girl is picture number 3 on this pattern!!! I love that girl!

I was provided the pattern to test but all opinions are my own.

Hello

I have been a long time blog reader. I recently decided to "dip my toe in", so to speak.
I love any and all things crafty and creative. I cannot help this, I was born with a free spirited, random heart that won't quit. Though I mostly sew, I do create most anything I can get my hands on. I do not claim to be the authority on anything and I can promise I will make mistakes. If we can agree to laugh as we go...I'm game! Thanks for stopping in!
